Kotak White Reserve Credit Card Review 2026: White Pass, Unlimited Lounges, Club Marriott & FAQs
The Kotak White Reserve is a ₹12,500 metal card built on a single idea: no points to track, just direct rupee value credited when you cross spend milestones. Kotak calls that value the White Pass, and says you can earn up to ₹2.5 lakh a year of it.
It also carries unlimited worldwide lounge access for you and your add-on holders, 24 golf rounds a year, a Club Marriott membership, and a 2% forex markup.
One important caveat before anything else: Kotak does not publish the White Pass milestone table on the pages available for this review. The ₹2.5 lakh ceiling is stated; the spend thresholds that get you there are not. That is a material gap and it is flagged throughout.

The White Pass — and what isn't published
Kotak's framing: "No need to calculate points. Earn direct White Pass value on crossing spend milestones." And: "Earn White Pass Value up to ₹2.5 lakh annually."
What that means in practice:
- There is no per-rupee earn rate. Spending ₹1 lakh in a month earns you nothing directly. Value is credited only when you cross a threshold.
- White Pass is denominated in rupees, not in points — so there is no conversion to work out.
- It redeems against a curated catalogue of premium brand gift vouchers, flights and hotels, or for cashback.
What is not published: the thresholds. Kotak states the ₹2.5 lakh ceiling without saying what spend reaches it, or what value each milestone pays.
For scale, the sibling Kotak White card — whose table is published — runs ₹2 lakh → ₹2,000, ₹4 lakh → ₹4,000, ₹6 lakh → ₹6,000, ₹9 lakh → ₹7,000 and ₹12 lakh → ₹8,000, for a cumulative ₹27,000. The White Reserve's ceiling is nine times that, so its thresholds are presumably far higher.
If you are evaluating this card, ask Kotak for the milestone table in writing. Without it you cannot calculate what the card returns.
A second gap: the cashback rate
On the Kotak White, catalogue redemption is ₹1 and cashback is ₹0.70 — a 30% haircut. For the White Reserve, Kotak says only that the balance "can be redeemed for Cashback", with no rate. If the same haircut applies, the realisable value of White Pass is materially below its face value.
A holding restriction
Kotak's internal norms allow only one active White or White Reserve card, and the page states that "White Pass will not be credited if customer holds multiple active White and/or White Reserve cards."
Hold both and you earn on neither.
Lounge Access — unlimited, including add-ons
Unlimited complimentary access at 1,000+ airports worldwide, for the primary cardholder and all add-on cardholders.
Only the Kotak Solitaire matches this in Kotak's range.
With effect from 1 October, guest charges and charges after complimentary visits are exhausted are $35 per guest per visit.
Golf
2 complimentary rounds each month at select courses worldwide, for the primary cardholder — 24 rounds a year, matching the Kotak Infinite.
Club Marriott Membership
Across 350 hotels and 1,000 restaurants in Asia Pacific:
| Benefit | Discount |
|---|---|
| Food and beverage, India | Up to **25%** |
| Food and beverage, Asia Pacific | Up to **20%** |
| Best available room rates, India | Up to **20%** |
| Weekend room rates, Asia Pacific | Up to **20%** |
| Spa treatments, India | Up to **20%** |
| Celebration certificates (3) | Up to **50%** off F&B, **30%** off stays |
For someone who dines and stays at Marriott properties regularly, this alone can outweigh the fee. A membership sold separately runs several thousand rupees a year.
Luxury Lifestyle Management
Kotak's concierge layer on this card covers:
- Exclusive services — travel bookings, personal shopping, restaurant reservations
- Mega events — access to sought-after global events
- Everyday gifting — sending gifts, organising birthdays
- Curated experiences — event organisation and bespoke services

₹10 lakh is the highest waiver threshold in Kotak's range. At ₹83,000 a month of eligible spend, it is reachable but not casually so. Note that the joining fee has no waiver at any level — year one costs ₹12,500 plus GST regardless.
Special-category fees don't apply. The MITC exempts White Reserve, Kotak Solitaire, Kotak Infinite and Kotak Signature from the 1% charges on rent, utility, education, wallet loading, gaming and fuel — so those categories cost you nothing extra.

If you can get the Kotak Solitaire, take it instead. It costs nothing, pays an uncapped 3%, has zero forex and matches the unlimited lounge access. The White Reserve's advantages over it are Club Marriott and golf.
Against the Kotak White, the Reserve costs four times as much and buys unlimited lounges (against 8+4 visits), golf, Club Marriott, a 2% rather than 3.50% forex markup, and a milestone ceiling nine times higher — at a waiver threshold twice as high.
Who Should Get the Kotak White Reserve
Good fit if:
- You spend ₹10 lakh a year or more on a card, so the annual fee waives from year two
- You fly often and want lounge access for your family, not just yourself
- You play golf — 24 rounds a year is real money
- You stay and dine at Marriott properties — Club Marriott can cover the fee on its own
- You spend abroad — 2% against Kotak's standard 3.50%
Look elsewhere if:
- You want a card that earns as you spend. This one earns only at thresholds, and the thresholds are not published
- You can qualify for the Kotak Solitaire — it is better on almost every line and costs nothing
- ₹12,500 plus GST in year one, unwaivable, is more than you want to commit before seeing the milestone table
- You want railway surcharge waivers
