This card is closed to new applicants — Kotak's page title reads "Apply for Mojo Credit Card Online (Discontinued)". Existing holders keep it, and Kotak still publishes its fees, rewards and milestone terms.

The Mojo Platinum earns 2.5 Mojo Points per ₹100 online and 1 per ₹100 offline. At ₹0.25 a point that's 0.63% and 0.25% — among the lowest base rates in Kotak's range. Its quarterly milestone is worth more than the earn rate, but only in the first year.

Reward Structure

SpendMojo Points per ₹100Effective rate
**Online spends** (any merchant)2.5**0.63%**
All other spends1**0.25%**
Excluded categories00%

Neither is capped.

The accelerated rate is keyed on the channel, not the merchant category. "Online spends" is a card-not-present condition applying across every category, so there's no MCC list to check — if you paid online, you earned 2.5.

A point is worth ₹0.25 on the Kotak Rewards catalogue and ₹0.20 in cash, the cash rate having fallen from ₹0.25 on 1 June 2025. An older Kotak MITC table describes a 0.40 rate for cashback raised by service request, but the June 2025 revision explicitly supersedes the earlier terms for the listed products, and Mojo Platinum is listed.

The milestone — and its expiry date

2,500 Mojo Points every quarter on spending ₹75,000 — ₹625 a quarter at the catalogue rate.

Kotak's wording, in full: "Get 2500 Mojo points every quarter on spending Rs. 75,000. Valid for the first year (since issuance) only."

So the maximum lifetime value of this milestone is ₹2,500 across four quarters. From year two the card delivers only its 0.25%–0.63% earn rate, its lounge access and its surcharge waivers — against a ₹1,000 annual fee.

From 1 June 2025, spend on utility, wallet loading, fuel, online skill-based gaming, insurance, government, rent and education does not count towards the ₹75,000.

The two ₹75,000 thresholds line up

The one genuinely neat thing about this card's design: the quarterly milestone threshold and the lounge-access gate are the same number.

Clear ₹75,000 in a calendar quarter and you unlock both 2,500 milestone points and the next quarter's two lounge visits. That's unusual — most Kotak cards set the two independently.

Lounge Access

8 complimentary visits a year to select domestic lounges in India, limited to 2 per quarter.

Gated from 1 June 2025: spend ₹75,000 or more in a calendar quarter to unlock 2 visits in the next quarter. A new cardholder gets nothing in their first quarter.

No international lounge access.

The June 2025 category changes

CategoryMojo Points earned up to

Utility**₹50,000** per statement cycle

The same categories are excluded from the milestone calculation.

Annual fee₹1,000 — waived on **₹1,00,000** of annual spend
**Add-on card****₹299**
Finance charges3.75% per month (45% per annum)

Over-limit₹500
Rent payment fee1% + GST on MCC 6513
Utility fee1% above ₹50,000 per statement cycle
Fuel fee1% above ₹35,000 per statement cycle
Fuel surcharge waiver1% on ₹500–₹5,000, capped at ₹3,500 an anniversary year
Railway surcharge waiver1.8% / 2.5%, capped at ₹500 an anniversary year

The joining fee waiver runs on a 90-day window, not an anniversary year: ₹30,000 spent within 90 days of issuance waives the ₹1,000 joining fee. That's easily cleared.

Add-on cards cost ₹299, where most Kotak cards at this tier waive them.

Both surcharge waivers apply.

Worked Example

A first-year cardholder spending ₹5 lakh, with ₹2 lakh online and ₹75,000 in each quarter:

SourceSpendPointsValue
Online at 2.5/₹100₹2,00,0005,000₹1,250
Offline at 1/₹100₹3,00,0003,000₹750
Quarterly milestone × 4—10,000₹2,500
8 lounge visits at ₹1,000——₹8,000
**Total (year one)****₹5,00,000****18,000****₹12,500**

Fee waived at ₹1 lakh. Year one looks fine.

Year two, same spend:

SourceValue
Earn rate₹2,000
Milestone**₹0 — expired**
Lounge visits₹8,000
**Total****₹10,000**

The card becomes a lounge card with a 0.4% blended earn rate. Whether that's worth ₹1,000 a year depends entirely on how much you use the lounges.

Who This Card Still Suits

Keep it if:

  • You spend ₹75,000 every quarter — it unlocks both the milestone (year one) and the lounge access (every year)
  • You fly domestically often enough to use eight lounge visits a year
  • Most of your spend is online — 0.63% against 0.25% offline is a meaningful split
  • The annual fee waives at ₹1 lakh, which you'd clear anyway

Supplement it if:

  • You're past your first year. The milestone is gone and the earn rate alone is among Kotak's weakest
  • Your quarterly spend is lumpy — the ₹75,000 gate costs you the next quarter's lounge visits
  • You shop mostly in person — 0.25% is very low
  • You spend abroad — 3.50% forex on a 0.25% base rate is a losing combination
