This card is closed to new applicants. Kotak's own page carries the disclaimer: "We have discontinued Wealth Infinite Credit Card for new sourcing and the information above is displayed for existing cardholders only." Existing holders keep everything. This review is for them, and for anyone comparing what Kotak's private-banking card used to offer.

The Infinite is a no-fee, invite-only card for Kotak Private Banking clients, with a minimum credit limit of ₹10 lakh and a personalised design carrying a hand-crafted illustration of the cardholder. Its rewards are unusual: ₹800 of points credited every month with no spend condition, and a point value of ₹1 — the highest Kotak publishes.

Kotak Infinite Quick Overview

**Status**Discontinued for new sourcing; existing cards fully active
**Card type**Invite-only private-banking card
**Joining fee****Nil**
**Annual fee****Nil**
**Add-on card****Nil**
**Network**Visa
**Reward rate**1 Reward Point per ₹125 — **0.8%** at ₹1 per point
**Monthly bonus****800 Reward Points (₹800) every month, unconditional**
**Golf****2 rounds a month**, plus 2 guests once a quarter
**Domestic lounge****4 per quarter**
**Forex markup**2%
**Minimum credit limit**₹10 lakh

The monthly points credit

800 Reward Points every month, worth ₹800 at the catalogue rate, with no spend condition attached. That is ₹9,600 a year on a card with no fee at all.

Kotak credits them in lieu of the two free PVR tickets the card used to carry, and describes the substitution as "an interim change in the feature of the card" — so it may revert to tickets.

There is nothing to do to earn this. It arrives whether you spend ₹0 or ₹20 lakh.

What a point is worth

₹1 on the Kotak Rewards catalogue — the highest point value on any Kotak card. The MITC's redemption table puts the Infinite in the ₹1 group alongside the NRI Royale Signature, Feast and Essentia.

₹0.70 as cashback, reduced from ₹1 with effect from 1 June 2025. That's a 30% haircut, so the catalogue is the better channel.

Redemption minimums per the MITC: 8,000 Kotak Rewards on the portal, or 2,000 Reward Points through the contact centre.

Reward Structure — with one caveat

The card's own reward-redemption page gives 1 Reward Point per ₹125 of spend. At ₹1 a point that is 0.8% — a strong effective rate for India, driven entirely by the point value rather than by the accrual rate.

A caveat worth stating plainly. Kotak's bank-wide MITC also carries a Kotak Infinite column in its rewards table, apparently showing 5 Reward Points per ₹100 on special categories (hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, tour operators, airlines and all international spends) and 2 per ₹100 elsewhere — which would be 5% and 2%, far above anything else in the Indian market. That figure comes from a five-column table whose column alignment could not be verified from the extracted text, so this review uses the card's own page. If you hold this card, confirm your accrual rate with your relationship manager — the difference between 0.8% and 5% is not small.

Golf — 24 rounds a year

2 complimentary rounds of golf per month for the primary cardholder, at select courses in India and worldwide. You can also invite two friends for a complimentary round once a quarter.

Booked at kotak.golftripz.com.

At a conservative ₹3,000 a round, 24 rounds is ₹72,000 a year — comfortably the most valuable thing on the card, and worth more than the points.

Lounge Access

4 complimentary visits every quarter to select domestic lounges in India. No spend gate.

That is the highest fixed quarterly domestic entitlement in Kotak's range — only the Solitaire and White Reserve beat it, with unlimited access.

No international lounge access. Kotak's bank-wide lounge terms list the Priority Pass cards explicitly and the Infinite is not among them. On an invite-only private-banking card that is a genuine and surprising gap; worth confirming with the bank.

Other Benefits

Concierge, available 10am to 8pm daily on +91 1135124242, covering hotel and dining reservations, flight ticketing, event and performance bookings, spa and fitness information, and referrals.

Minimum credit limit of ₹10 lakh, with discretionary instant limit increases above the assigned line, granted case by case on spend and payment pattern.

Personalised card design carrying a hand-crafted illustration of the cardholder on the face of the card.

What changed on 1 June 2025

Kotak revised this card and not in the holder's favour:

  • Interest rose from 3.10% to 3.50% a month (37.2% to 42.00% APR)
  • The fuel surcharge waiver was set at 1% on ₹400–₹7,500 transactions, capped at ₹4,500 a calendar year
  • A 2% auto-debit failure fee was introduced, minimum ₹450 and maximum ₹5,000
  • Cashback redemption fell from ₹1 to ₹0.70 per point

Railway surcharge waiver1.8%–2.5%, capped at ₹500 a calendar year

There is no fee of any kind. Nil joining, nil annual, nil add-on. That is the single best thing about the card after the golf — ₹9,600 of unconditional points plus 24 golf rounds plus 16 lounge visits, for nothing.

Special-category fees don't apply. The MITC exempts White Reserve, Kotak Solitaire, Kotak Infinite and Kotak Signature from the 1% charges on rent, utility spends, education, wallet loading, gaming and fuel. Over-limit is waived and card replacement is free.

Both surcharge waivers apply — fuel and railway — which is unusual in Kotak's premium range.

Where You Won't Earn

Kotak publishes no MCC exclusion schedule for this card, and the bank-wide June 2025 schedule is not stated to apply to it. The MITC's general rewards clause excludes fees, personal loans, cash advances, balance transfers, EMI transactions and demand drafts in words.

In practice that means almost everything earns — but it also means an unpublished exclusion list may exist, so treat the 0.8% as a ceiling.

Eligibility

  • Kotak Private Banking client — the card is by-invitation only
  • Primary cardholder aged 21 to 60; add-on cardholder 18 or above
  • Resident of India

There is no stated income threshold. Eligibility is a banking relationship.

What It's Worth

For an existing holder spending ₹10 lakh a year:

BenefitValue
Monthly points credit (₹800 × 12)₹9,600
Earn rate at 0.8% on ₹10 lakh₹8,000
24 golf rounds at ₹3,000₹72,000
16 domestic lounge visits at ₹1,000₹16,000
**Total****₹1,05,600**
Fee**₹0**

Even discounting the golf heavily — say you play eight rounds — the card returns ₹50,000+ a year for nothing.

Who This Card Still Suits

Keep it if:

  • You play golf. 24 rounds a year is the card's largest benefit by a wide margin
  • You fly domestically — 16 lounge visits a year with no spend gate
  • You want a card that pays you ₹9,600 a year whether you use it or not
  • You spend abroad — 2% markup on a no-fee card is good

Supplement it if:

  • You fly internationally and need lounge access abroad — the Infinite has none
  • You want a published, dependable earn rate — the 0.8%-versus-5% ambiguity is unresolved
  • Your spend is large. At 0.8%, ₹20 lakh of spend returns ₹16,000; the Kotak Solitaire's uncapped 3% would return ₹60,000
